MILWAUKEE, Wis. (March 15, 2021) – Core Health, Core Creative’s specialized healthcare marketing practice, has hired Laila Waggoner to join its growing team of healthcare-specific strategists.
Waggoner has extensive background in healthcare marketing, spanning more than 30 years of experience with health systems such as Mercy Health and ProMedica, as well as with academic medical centers, managed care organizations and clinically integrated networks in markets across the country. She’s held leadership roles on both the client and agency side, providing unique insight into how health systems and hospitals can best leverage the strategic marketing, branding and creative communications resources of an agency partner.

In her new role with Core Health, Waggoner will be an integral part of the business development and marketing teams. She will serve as the primary first point of contact for healthcare marketers with Core Health, consulting with client teams, and representing the agency through membership, attendance and involvement with national, regional and state-wide professional organizations. She will also be a primary “voice” of the brand, assisting in producing and promoting original content.
Waggoner will be based in Toledo, Ohio and will utilize Core’s Milwaukee-based hoteling office as needed.
